A5 KILSBY TO WEEDON Multi-Disciplinary Project

A5 KILSBY TO WEEDON Multi-Disciplinary Project   Update Bulletin 12 – 12.9.2019

Since my previous bulletin dated 27th August 2019, we have completed main drainage works in Phase 5 (from Daventry Road (Norton) to B4036 Long Buckby).

We are currently carrying out ongoing main drainage works in Phase 6 (from B4036 Long Buckby to B5385 Watford Gap).

We have also completed resurfacing works in Phase 3 (from the Flore roundabout to the Heart of The Shires shopping village).

We are currently planning to carry out resurfacing works in Phase 4 (from the Heart of The Shires shopping village to Daventry Road (Norton).

These resurfacing works are planned to be carried out on the following dates:

1. 8pm Friday 13th September – 6am Monday 16th September 2019

2. 8pm to 6am on Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th September 2019

3. 8pm Friday 20th – Monday 23rd September 2019

NB: Please note that access across the A5 at the Daventry Road (Norton) and Whilton junctions will be available during resurfacing works in Phase 4.

Please note that all our planned road works may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Local businesses will be open as usual during these essential works so please use your local shops, bars and restaurants and ask others to do the same. I’m sure that your local business community would appreciate it.

I apologise for any disruption our works may cause. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.

Unfortunately, there have been incidences of unauthorised vehicles being driven into our working areas. These irresponsible drivers put themselves and our workforce at risk of serious injury or death. As a result of these incursions we have employed a Safety Camera vehicle which will record any such incidences and report the offender to the Police
