A5 KILSBY TO WEEDON Multi-Disciplinary Project Update Bulletin 17a – 19.11.2019

A5 KILSBY TO WEEDON Multi-Disciplinary Project  - Update Bulletin 17a – 19.11.2019

Last weekend, resurfacing works to the A5 in Phase 6, from B4036 Long Buckby to B5385 Watford, were substantially completed from a point approximately 100 metres south of the access to Old Watling Street to a point approximately 300 metres north of the bridge over The Grand Union Canal,

Unfortunately, owing to unforeseen circumstances, resurfacing of the entrances to Old Watling Street, the canal side car park and Welton Hythe Marina together with certain areas of  footpath were not carried out.

We now plan to carry out these particular works between 8pm Wednesday 20th and 6am Thursday 21st November 2019 whilst the road in Phase 6 is closed for drainage works.

We are planning to start these outstanding Works at the Old Watling Street entrance and work in a northerly direction towards Welton Hythe Marina.

The noisier operations associated with these works will be completed by midnight.

Please be assured that we will make every effort to maintain access at all times.

However, we shall be grateful if you would bear with us, particularly when we are working across your particular entrance.

Please note that between 8pm Friday 22nd and 6am Monday 25th November 2019, we are planning, weather permitting, to carry out resurfacing in Phase 6, heading northwards from a point approximately 300 metres north of the bridge over The Grand Union Canal to a point approximately 200 metres north of the entrance to Welton Hythe Marina.

Please note that all our planned road works may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Local businesses will be open as usual during these essential works so please use your local shops, bars and restaurants and ask others to do the same. I’m sure that your local business community would appreciate it.
