Fire and Rescue
Long Buckby has its own fire station staffed by retained fire officers providing 24 hour cover. The station is in Station Road and the officer in charge is Geoff Spokes. Anyone interested in joining, or with other non-urgent enquiries can contact him at the station on Thursday evenings (7.00 until 9.00). Tel. 01327 844660.

Police
Long Buckby comes under the Western Area of Northamptonshire Police based at New Street, Daventry, NN11 3BS.
Long Buckby is covered by the Daventry Rural South Safer Community Team led by Sergeant Paul Valentine supported by a number of police constables and PCSO Sarah Grey. (See also the Neighbourhood Watch section.)

Daventry District Council
Daventry District Council is responsible for a variety of services including housing allocation and housing benefits, leisure and tourism, environmental health, refuse collection, car parking and planning matters. Housing managemnt is now handled for the Council by Daventry District Housing, a private organisation.

The District Council has an Information Desk with an officer present in Long Buckby Library every Friday from 10.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 5.00pm. It is also open on Saturday from 10.00am to 1.00pm. The person on duty can provide information on all the Council's services and will pass request or enquiries on to other officers for you.
