Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 6.30pm.

Out Of Hours

When the surgery is closed telephone 01327 842360. Your call will be transferred to an "out of hours" centre.

Appointments

Appointments with a doctor or practice nurse are offered, whenever possible, on the day requested, or in times of extra pressure, the following working day. In addition patients can now book two weeks in advance with their chosen doctor.

Telephone Consultations

Telephone consultations are offered daily with either the duty doctor or practice nurse. They may be booked in advance by telephoning 01327 842360 preferably before 9.00 a.m. on the day required.

Home Visits

Home visits can be arranged for patients too ill to attend the surgery by telephoning 01327 842360 preferably before 10.30 a.m. on the day the visit is required.

Test Results

Please telephone 01327 842360 between 11.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on weekdays for the results of blood tests, x-rays and other investigations. To maintain confidentiality, results will only be given to the patient concerned or, in the case of a child, its parents.

Patient Panel

The Practice has recently formed a Patient Panel which will be meeting quarterly to decide ways of making a positive contribution to the services and facilities offered by the Practice to the patients. The Panel consists of 5 patients from Long Buckby and surrounding villages. In order to be representative of all patients in the Practice, the Panel want your thoughts, comments and suggestions on the changing needs of patients, improvements or modifications needed for the delivery of the services run from the Practice. There is a suggestion box located in the reception area of the Surgery, but if you would like to contact a Panel member, please leave your name and telephone number with reception and they will ask the Member to contact you.

Appointments can be made to attend clinics, which are held in addition to the surgeries. The current list of clinics is given below:

Blood pressure	Weekly for monitoring blood pressure and offering advice
Coronary heart disease	Twice monthly for advice on looking after your heart
Child surveillance	The health visitors are available in the Community Centre every Monday afternoon from 2.00-3.30 p.m. (no appointment necessary) for mothers, babies and toddlers
Contraception services	Normal surgery hours
Diabetes	Regular monitoring clinics run by nurses
Immunisation	Clinics for routine child immunisations held once a week
Leg ulcer	Weekly clinic for vascular assessment and the treatment and prevention of leg ulcers
Maternity	Antenatal clinics held by the midwife twice weekly
Minor surgery	Arranged by appointment with your doctor
Travel	Weekly clinics for travel advice and immunisations
Warts	Monthly sessions for the removal of warts and minor blemishes
Well woman	Advice available from practice nurses

Yoga for Pregnancy

Privately run courses of Yoga for pregancy are held on Monday evenings in Long Buckby Community Centre. They are open to all over 14 weeks pregnant and are suitable to those new to yoga as well as to experienced practioners. Each course lasts six weeks and the sessions are from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm. The cost for the course is £36.
