Currently the Headteacher, Mrs. Linda Mitchell, leads a team of six class teachers (four full time and two part time teachers), an administrative officer and five learning support assistants. The school is also lucky to have the support of many parents and friends working on a voluntary basis in school. Strong liaison exists between the Junior School as well as the local pre-school groups.
The October 2007 OFSTED report describes us as a "good school" and "outstanding" in children's enjoyment of learning.
The school prides itself on providing a caring community where children learn in a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment. The school enjoys a lovely playground setting where the children are able to appreciate the natural environment. The National Curriculum and Foundation Stage programmes are delivered in an integrated fashion to enable children to benefit from the experiences offered. We have been awarded 'EEL Status' which is a quality assurance for effective early learning. The school is well equipped with a variety of apparatus ranging from computers to modern reading books and learning equipment.

There are 167 children on role, split into 6 classes: one Year 3, one Year 4 and one mixed Year 3/4, one Year 5, one Year 6 and one mixed Year 5/6. We have 7 class teachers and lots of peripatetic music teachers coming into school to teach brass, strings, keyboard, voice, persussion, guitar and woodwind. Swimming takes place in the school's own heated pool. The children are also supported by a team of experienced teaching assistants. The school places great emphasis on the all round development of its children. A wide range of extra curricular activities takes place and children have the opportunity to attend residential visits. An enthusiastic School Association made up of parents, friends and governors works tirelessly to support the school's activities. Prospective parents are most welcome to visit the school.

Guilsborough School is an 11 – 18 community school, serving 22 villages and hamlets in Northamptonshire, of which Long Buckby is the largest. The Local Education Authority provides School buses with various collection points in the village, for students who live within the school's catchment area.
The school is set in a wonderful rural location with well-maintained buildings and extensive playing fields. There is an excellent Sixth Form Centre and newly refurbished Learning Resource Centre. Guilsborough has Technology College Status and is part of the Network Schools Learning Community.
Guilsborough School is popular and over-subscribed — the current roll is over 1350 including over 230 in the Sixth Form. Its popularity and reputation is based on an ethos that places the student at the heart of learning. A healthy partnership exists between staff and students, contributing to the positive and friendly atmosphere in the school.
We have high expectations and place importance upon school development and improvement. Our students perform very well at all examination levels and, in the School Performance Tables, Guilsborough consistently figures as one of the top local authority schools in Northamptonshire.
Guilsborough's population is typically comprehensive and represents the full spectrum in terms of ability and background with significant numbers going on to higher education. The school is also noted for the level of extra-curricular activities and high standards are achieved in music, drama and sport.

Our aim is to create a warm, safe and friendly environment for every child and their family, which offers each child a sense of belonging where they can respond co-operatively with adults and other children.
We aim to work with parents in a partnership and together we will actively maintain high ethical standards and equal opportunities in all areas of the nursery, therefore allowing each child to achieve their maximum potential and create the basis for future development.
Our primary purpose is to provide a high quality day care service for children focusing on learning through play. Each group plans and prepares to meet all children’s needs, daily routines gives everyone access to inside/outside play and equipment. Play is something nearly all children do naturally, by structuring play activities our staff can encourage social, physical, emotional and intellectual stimulus, this in turn encourages independence, self-reliance and self-esteem which aids a smooth transition into main-stream education.
