Les's milk float is still around somewhere. I think it was Derrick Cooper (Brington Road) got hold of it and did it up, but I haven't seen it around in a while so maybe he sold it.
Daniel says...Just wondering if anyone has some pictures of Les' milk float from the early '80 i uses to work for him on the weekends. Most people I talk to ablut this struggle to believe that we were delivering milk that way as late as the eighties, would be good if some pictures were available.

Sorry no photos but I remember it well, we moved here in 1987 and seeing this is what made me want to move here, Les had a grey that pulled the float and while he delivered the milk the pony would walk slowly on to the next house, if only I carried a camera around then like I do nowJust wondering if anyone has some pictures of Les' milk float from the early '80 i uses to work for him on the weekends. Will the vehicle that was stolen from the Market Place be on the CCTV footage to enable the criminal to be caught?
Yes that is fine, Long Buckby wants as many residents as possible to come along to the meeting on Tuesday 8th November and view their opinions.
Claire Rickards says...Dear Long Buckby.Net
I am currently finalising purchase of a house in Long Buckby and very much looking forward to moving back to the Midlands where I grew up. I will be working from home in the Salem area and am quite worried about the proposed palns for a large housing development on the land to the west of Station Road and hope to attend the meeting on 8th November as I should be moved in by then. I hope this will be Ok.
Best wishes

Have a picture of a street/building in Long Buckby dated before 1856 where one of Newitt relatives was born, with picture as it appears today. Would also share very old pictures of Blincow relatives with bicycle and cart. Have picture as adult in shoemaker's apron of William Webb, born in Long Buckby in 1823. Please let me know if you have an interest in any/all of these. Many of my relatives were born, lived and died/buried in Long Buckby. Sincerely, Lezley Barth

Thank you for a very nice web/blog site. M. Packer, Hampstead NC USA

Does anyone have any information on Eales and Cooper coal merchants in Long Buckby. I have a model rail coal wagon with their name on it and would be interested in who commisssioned an order for its manufacture.
