There has been an increase in dog fouling throughout the village and the DDC dog warden has been made aware.
They have advised us that unfortunately dog fouling seems to increase in the winter months due to the dark mornings and evenings.
Lisa Hudson Fyer says "With regard to the areas you have mentioned, Station Road, West Street, East Street to name a few areas, we have just received new signage with the new legislation on and the new fine of £100 and in time we are looking at replacing all the signs district wide.
This is obviously a huge job to do and will take some time.
Early morning and evening patrols will be undertaken when the clocks change and I would advise if any one has any information as to who may be doing this to let the council know so we can investigate this.
Myself and my colleague Lee Goodridge will be keeping an eye out when we are out and about in the area"
